Issuance

Issuance

Ver.iD Issuance lets your application issue a digital credential to a customer's digital identity wallet. The credential can contain verified information from your application, such as a membership, qualification, or account attribute.

The customer is redirected to the hosted Ver.iD flow. They select a digital identity wallet, review the credential, and accept it. Ver.iD then redirects the customer to your application with an OAuth authorization response.

An issuance in Ver.iD Studio defines the supported digital identity wallets, credential attributes, redirect URIs, brands, mappings, and client secrets. Your application must create an intent for every issuance run. The intent supplies the values that will be written to the credential.

Key benefits

  • Reusable credentials: customers receive information once and present it again wherever it is accepted.
  • Consistent data: your application supplies the values from a trusted business process, and the credential structure is configured in Studio.

Start with creating an issuance, then follow Start an issuance to connect it to your application.
