Network and Information Security Directive 2 (NIS2)
The NIS2 Directive strengthens cybersecurity requirements for essential and important entities in the European Union. It covers areas such as risk management, incident reporting, supply chain security, and governance.
In the Netherlands, NIS2 is implemented through the Cyberbeveiligingswet. The law entered into force on 15 August 2026. Organizations are responsible for assessing whether they fall within its scope.
